We had a lot of fun which the  pancakes. So thank you to all the teachers  and  student for marking  them.

Racers on Display

Our mouse trap racers are on display in the front foyer of the school.  The students also created some posters to advertise their racers.  You can see some of the posters in the display as well.  A few of the posters still need to be completed and will be added to the display once they are ready.

Race day (sort of)

We started the races today.  It was a bit chaotic as there were a few racers in need of repairs.  So we will have the "real" races early next week.

1st Racer done!

Our first mousetrap racer was completed today.  The rest should finish up very soon.  As they are completed I will be asking the students to take short video of it and post it on their Google drives.  Your child can then show you it in action at home.

Mousetrap Racers

The early stages of our mousetrap racers.  We got the frames built  and the wheels assembled.  Hopefully we will finish the assembly tomorrow and have them racing down the halls by Wednesday!

Our stands in action!

Well, here are the stands we built in action.  I think the students did a really great job creating them!  They were able to handle the weight without any issues.

Getting ready to work with pulleys.

Just before we started our unit on pulleys and gears we realized we did not have enough stands.  The stands are needed to attach the pulleys to in order to conduct our experiments.  So we decided to make our own!  Here are the students hard at work building those stands.
